Puma de Malandanza & Pico vom Haus Mecki

My name is Maria Mentzoni Eng. I live in an area called Svartskog 15 minutes outside Oslo and I work in real estate,

From a life 'in the stables' as a girl, it was with dogs I eventually found happiness in working with animals; as a gentle switch from horses, my first dog was an Irish Wolfhound... This was a good dog in all aspects, but not exactly a dream to train :-)

Consequently, I imported a couple of Dobermans from Spain before, by grace of  Wassilios Broumas was able to acquire Fela von Portos (pictured). He was a great dog, both socially and in working, such a good friend I will never forget.

Since we spend each winter in our house in Spain, we coincedentially discovered the breed alano español. A breed which has impressed me immensely with robust athletic qualities and history. We travelled over to Madrid to fetch Puma a little positive energy-bundle.

Fela's breeder began with Malinois and it was of course natural to enquire if 'Wasi' had any good Malis 'on-the-go'. I was able to aquire his dog Oscar vom Haus Mecki wich unfortunately died under veterinary anaesthetic in a procedure to repair a broken tooth received while training in protecion-work. Today I train IPO with Pico vom Haus Mecki and only future can tell if we will make 'a good team'.
