To all of the Spanish breeders who refuse to breed to us Americans!!! THANK YOU!And keep up the good work they are right we are IGNORANT!!!AND LACK THE CULTURE TO APPRECIATE THE BREED.The alano has been in Spain and parts of Europe for hundreds of years UNSPOILED!!!AND UNTAMPERED WITH!!!Thanks to the Spanish sport of bullbaiting and hogcatching these dogs have been able to thrive,if Americans are blessed enough to own an alano you will have to take extreme care and caution with these beautiful animals.If the blood is diluted or tampered with this breed will not be able to do what it has been bred to do do for thousands of years BULLBAIT!!!They are right we do lack the religion and culture to appreciate the breed!!!Case in point we have been known to breed Fat Lazy Couch Potatoes!!!American Garbage!!!There should be a book published Americans who wish to Own Spanish Alanos for dummies,1.If you wish to chain your Alano in a yard 24/7 this causes thievery , poisoning or worse!!!!what do you think will happen to the blood of your Alano if this is what you wish to do.If this is what you decide to do with the Alano maybe this isnt the breed for you. 2. A dog left unattended in a unsecure yard chained or fenced yard can roam as many as five miles in search of a female in heat. What do you think this will do to the blood of your Alano??? The most ridiculous thing i have seen is pet owners who let their dogs out of any door in the house to use the bathroom, if left to roam what do you think this will do to the blood of your Spanish Wolf??? also i owned a bulldogge i never walked her in my neighborhood or let the dog loose to use the bathroom i put her on a leash in my back yard and then back into the house, i never walked my pet where i live this breeds thievery poisoning or worse, in other words i dont advertise. Unless you have a neighbor you can trust!!The less your neighbor knows about your pet the better this also breeds thievery,poisoning or worse!!!6.I hate dog parks!!!I don t encourage the intermingling of my pet and other dogs.7.ALSO EXCESSIVE BARKING FROM EVEN AN AGGRESSIVE DOG,can attract the wrong attention.Any kennels or keeps you might have for your pet may need to be out of plain view of the general public.I read somewhere that some breeders may give a litter away to family ,members or co-workers i am not a fan of this Greasing!!!You can pretty much tell how serious someone by talking to them.Thank you!!FoR TAKING THE TIME TO READ WHAT I HAVE TO SAY.Seasons Greetings!
